Pinterest Worthy Florals for an October Micro Wedding

I had the pleasure of meeting Amanda 7 years ago when working on my first creative/styled photoshoot. What I didn't know then was that she was going to follow along on my adventures as a florist and turn up in my inbox when it was her turn to get married.

One of the first things she made clear to me was that she was looking for florals that were out of the box and unlike anything else we see in our London, Ontario market

Despite Amanda and Je-Vohn's October wedding date, we had decided on bright and bold summer toned flowers in hues of peaches, pinks, magenta and burgundy. Je-Vohn came home with a plum toned suit and what became of the palette was an off the cuff marriage of both summer and autumn. Drawing influence from our own seasonally changing gardens and the local flower market, I was able to create some truly magical florals that not only suited the minimal vibe of the venue but also delighted our bride!

The floral selection for this wedding were some of my favorites. We spared no detail or thought when planning out our palette and selection. 

A variety of roses were used in sandy, peach and terracotta tones and punched up with the ever dazzling varieties of locally grown dahlias.

For extra interest, copper and lavender chrysanthemums, brownie tulips, plum ranunculus, dripping amaranthus, black eyed susan vine, dara and snippits from one of my own geogeanthus plant.

You can still see the Greek inscriptions in the crumbling remains of the façade that once faced the city. About three hundred years later, the Romans took control where it grew to be one of the most impressive Roman cities to ever exist.
